Saturday (3/8) at 12.00 WIB, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM (FEB UGM), represented by the dean, heads of departments, study programs, and FOKOMA of FEB UGM welcomed the parents of new students in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Located at Selasar Learning Center FEB UGM, this event is a series of Pelatihan Pembelajar Sukses Bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PPSMB) 2019 events where the parents of new student can meet directly with the dean, vice deans and lecturers from three departments.
The event began with opening remarks by Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., PhD. as the Dean of FEB UGM. Eko Suwardi welcomed and introduced the ranks of the deans, department heads, and administrators of FOKOMA to the parents of new students.
“Our child is not ours, he has his own character and nature, let’s encourage the child to move as much as possible,” said Anung Hariyanto, representative of the parents of new students.
On the same occasion, there was a symbolic assistance from BNI, namely opening an account for 2019 new students. Head of FOKOMA, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sunjoto, Dip.HE, DEA reminded how important the support and participation of parents for student activities.
Meanwhile, Chairman of BEM FEB UGM, Dwiki Darmawan, suggested that new students not only focus on academic activities, but also non-academic activities.
“There is HMJ LK at FEB UGM for new students to learning leadership and add relationship”, closed him.
