The 71st Anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), became even more festive with a performance by the Angklung Manise Swara UGM community on Sunday (13/9/2026). The ensemble’s bamboo instruments created a warm and lively atmosphere during the Family Fun Evening (FFE) held at the FEB UGM Plaza.
During the performance, Manise Swara UGM presented a selection of songs spanning several generations, including Bujangan and Dara Manisku by Koes Plus, Pamer Bojo, Singkong dan Keju, Kapan-Kapan by Koes Plus, and Selamat Ulang Tahun by Jamrud. Each song was performed with an angklung arrangement that brought the celebration to life and drew enthusiastic responses from the audience.
One of the members of Manise Swara UGM, Rita Didi Achjari, said that the performance involved around 35 members. Unlike the previous year, when the performance featured only members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), this year’s ensemble brought together faculty members and administrative staff.
“Last year, it was specifically the ladies from Dharma Wanita. This time, we combined them with administrative staff and female faculty members,” Rita said.
The members who took part in the performance were Ami Masykur, Anna Budiono, Diah Retno, Dina Agus Sartono, Dyah Nuri Hardo, Ellin Rusdi, Erina Aviandi, Erlina Bayu, Erna Budi, Erna Gugup, Esti Prakoso, Ine Lincolin, Mardiyah Fadillah, Mimik Makhfatih, Ndari Hani Handoko, Nurul Indarti, Peny Insukindro, Pudji Bowo, Retno Bambang Riyanto, Regina Tandelilin, Rita Didi Achjari, Rositi Supriyono, Siti Isnaini Eko Suwardi, Vitra Amirullah, Wahyu Suyanto, Wulan Rijadh, Ina Melati, Azzelia Alma Shafira, Yani Wakhid, Shofi Hawa Anjani, Intarini Swandari, Kurnia Ekaptiningrum, and Umi Rokhayati.
The preparation for the performance took approximately one and a half months. For the members of Angklung Manise Swara UGM, rehearsals were not merely part of preparing for the performance but also an opportunity to strengthen their bonds with one another.
Rita explained that the angklung rehearsals were always eagerly anticipated by the members. Although they regularly meet every month, the rehearsals offered a different experience of togetherness.
“The angklung rehearsals are always something the ladies look forward to. During the rehearsals, it feels like being part of a family, which helps strengthen our bonds,” Rita said.
The involvement of members from different groups in this year’s performance also demonstrated how music can serve as a space for fostering togetherness within FEB UGM. Different backgrounds, including faculty members, administrative staff, and members of Dharma Wanita, came together in a single performance through the harmony of music played collectively.
As FEB UGM enters its 71st year, Rita expressed her hope that the faculty will continue to grow and achieve greater success. She also hoped that the sense of togetherness among the members of Angklung Manise Swara UGM and the wider FEB UGM community would continue to be maintained.
“May the Faculty of Economics and Business continue to progress and achieve greater success as it celebrates another year. For Dharma Wanita, I hope our sense of family and togetherness will continue to grow stronger,” Rita concluded.
