The Dolphin Group, consisting of Raisa Aulia Pratistha Putri and Vittorio Valero Salim (Management 2022), along with a Management student from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), claimed 1st place in the Business Case Competition – Entrepreneur Day 2025 organized by the S1 Business Study Program, Universitas Prasetya Mulya.
Held in a hybrid format, the competition began with 123 participants in the preliminary round, narrowing down to the 10 best teams for the final. The event featured several distinguished speakers, including Matthew Andrian, Chief Marketing Officer of Fore Coffee.
The competition consisted of two main stages. In the preliminary round, participants were required to submit a paper proposing a new Unique Selling Proposition (USP) for Fore Coffee. This USP aimed to differentiate the brand in the highly competitive coffee market (Red Ocean) and position it as the top local coffee brand in Indonesia.
The top 10 teams from this stage advanced to the final round, where they developed and presented a pitch deck outlining a marketing strategy for their proposed USP. The strategy needed to be feasible, impactful for Fore Coffee, and aligned with the brand’s core values.
Of course, winning first place was not easy. The team faced several challenges. The contestants were given only about five days to prepare their entries. The brainstorming process was also tough, as ideas often changed as the concept evolved. In fact, the Dolphin Group team made changes to their pitch deck right up until the day of the presentation to ensure the best possible presentation.
This victory was also inseparable from the support of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM, which provided full support to the participating teams. FEB facilitated various accommodation needs, including a reimbursement system for competition purposes.
“We never expected to win first place. The other finalists were exceptional and had impressive skills,” said Raisa Aulia Pratistha Putri, one of the Dolphin Group team members. “We hope to win more matches, and hopefully more FEB students can also win matches,” he added.
