The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), conducted a Basic Refresher Training for Security Officers on January 24–25, 2025. The Training, held at FEB UGM, was attended by 40 security officers assigned to the FEB UGM campus.

Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA., Head of the Administration Office of FEB UGM, stated that this Training aimed to enhance the competence, readiness, and professionalism of FEB UGM security officers. This Training is part of FEB UGM’s commitment to creating a conducive, safe, and productive work environment for all academic community members.

“Campus security officers are one of the essential elements in campus operations. Therefore, improving their skills and refreshing their knowledge is a strategic step to ensure a safe and comfortable environment at FEB UGM,” he explained on Friday, January 24, 2024, at FEB UGM.

The Training covered various topics relevant to the roles and responsibilities of security officers. These included two main areas—basic Training, which involved professional development and excellent service delivery. Level 1 Training included patrol techniques, traffic management, marching drills, and security administration, such as incident chronology documentation and logbook maintenance.

During the Training, participants received theoretical presentations and engaged in field practice simulations. These practical exercises aimed to sharpen the security officers’ hands-on skills.

Through this Training, FEB UGM hopes that the security officers will continuously improve their professionalism in carrying out their duties. With updated skills, they are expected to maintain the campus’s safety and comfort optimally.

“We hope this training enhances service standards and supports the sustainable development of our security officers’ capabilities,” said Nur Bakti.
