
The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a Syawalan and Halalbihalal Gathering with its academic community on Tuesday (April 8, 2025) at the FEB UGM Alumni Corner. The faculty leadership, lecturers, professional staff, Faculty of Economics and Business Alumni Family (KAFEGAMA) representatives, and student representatives attended the event.
Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA. emphasized that the syawalan and halalbihalal event served as a means to strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual forgiveness. Moreover, the organizers expected the event to enhance the collective commitment of the entire academic community as one big family of FEB UGM.
“We have gone through Ramadan together – a month of self-control, increased worship, and sincere intentions at every step. In the spirit of Syawal, let us rekindle our bonds, forgive each other, and strengthen our commitment as one big family of FEB UGM,” he said on Tuesday (4/8).
Didi also expressed that this moment was not only about the tradition of shaking hands and gathering. It was also a time to reflect on life’s journey, unite hearts, and renew the spirit of cooperation.
“I believe that with the spirit of togetherness and kinship, we can face future challenges – whether in education, research, or community service – with greater optimism and integrity,” he added.
The event continued with a Syawalan Pledge session led by Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA, Head of the Administrative Office of FEB UGM. After reading the pledge, all participants shook hands as a symbol of mutual forgiveness and strengthening of social bonds.
Through this Syawalan Gathering, FEB UGM hopes that all elements of the academic community can continue to foster connection, build a spirit of unity, and contribute to creating a harmonious and productive working environment for the future advancement of the Faculty.
