Dr. Friderica Widyasari Dewi, S.E., M.B.A., Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Business Conduct Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), who is also the Chairperson of the Central Board (PP) of the Family of Alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business (KAFEGAMA), won the Outstanding Leader in Financial Services award at the Indonesia Leading Women Awards 2025.

Friderica received this prestigious award for her dedication as a female leader who plays a vital role in developing Indonesia’s financial services sector. The organizers presented the award on Thursday (15/5/2025) at the Auditorium of Menara Bank Mega, Jakarta.

When receiving the award, she quoted RA Kartini’s thought that Indonesian women can work. This award clearly shows that Indonesian women have a vast space to work.

“Indonesian women dare to dream, dare to aspire, and must be able to achieve it,” she said, encouraging Indonesian women to work.

Friderica was born in Cepu, November 18, 1975. She completed her undergraduate education in the Management Study Program of FEB UGM in 2001. Furthermore, she earned a Master of Business Administration from California State University, USA, in 2004. Then, she earned her doctoral degree from the UGM Doctoral Program in Leadership and Policy Innovation in 2019.

Friderica has made a long and influential mark in Indonesia’s capital markets and financial services sector. She is the Chief Executive of the Financial Services Business Conduct, Education, and Consumer Protection Supervisor and a Member of the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Board of Commissioners for 2022-2027. This strategic position marks the culmination of a career that has consistently built trust and governance in the national financial sector. As a member of the OJK Board of Commissioners, she supervises and develops the financial services sector in Indonesia.

Previously, Friderica had a career at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). She served as Corporate Secretary of the IDX from 2008 to 2009 before finally taking up the position of Director of Development of the IDX from 2009 to 2015. In this role, Friderica contributed to the growth of the capital market and the development of investment products and services in Indonesia.

After her work at the IDX, Friderica continued her career at the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI). She was trusted as Director of KSEI (2015-2019), then rose to become President Director of KSEI from 2019 to 2020. Then, from 2020 to 2022, Friderica was appointed President Director of BRI Danareksa Sekuritas. Not only working in the corporate sector, Friderica served as Special Staff to the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in 2008, strengthening the public policy perspective in her professional journey.

Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., representing FEB UGM, expressed his congratulations and pride to Dr. Friderica Widyasari Dewi, who won the Outstanding Leader in Financial Services award at the Indonesia Leading Women Awards 2025. She is one of the Management alumni of FEB UGM and currently serves as Chairperson of KAFEGAMA.

The achievement of Dr. Frederica Widyasari Dewi, currently the Executive Head of the Supervisor of Financial Services Business Conduct, Education and Consumer Protection of the Financial Services Authority, is a form of contribution and impact given by FEB UGM alumni to society.
