The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) and the LSPR Institute of Communication & Business have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a strategic step to strengthen collaboration in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, encompassing education, research, publication, and community service.
The MoU signing ceremony took place on Monday, 15 December 2025, at the 7th Floor of the Pertamina Tower Building, FEB UGM.
The scope of the collaboration includes lecturer and student exchanges in academic activities, the development of innovative curricula, joint grant proposal preparation, research and scientific publication collaboration, as well as joint community service initiatives.
Vice Rector I of the LSPR Institute of Communication & Business, Dr. Jannete Maria Pinariya, stated that at its 33rd anniversary, LSPR continues to strive to develop into a more advanced, inclusive, and equitable institution. Through collaboration with FEB UGM, she hopes the partnership will enhance the quality of learning and strengthen institutional contributions to industry and society.
“Thank you for the opportunity and trust to collaborate,” she said.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni Affairs of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., welcomed the collaboration with LSPR and expressed his hope that the agreed partnership could be promptly followed up with concrete programs.
On the same occasion, he emphasized the importance of strengthening communication and leadership competencies for both lecturers and professional staff. Public communication skills, he noted, are increasingly essential and have a significant impact on society. He also explained that FEB UGM has developed a mandatory soft skills program provided to students from the early semesters through the final year of study, with a primary focus on enhancing communication skills.
“This presents an interesting potential. We hope LSPR can support and provide input. We also welcome LSPR lecturers who are interested in collaborating on research or pursuing doctoral studies at UGM,” he concluded.
