Digital transformation has become a key driver of competitiveness and governance enhancement for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). To support the digitalization of MSMEs, the Research Group on Information Systems and Digital Transformation at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), organized the SIDEK-ERP Implementation and MSME Tax Reporting Training on 9–10 July 2026 at FEB UGM.
The program was attended by 36 MSME participants representing businesses including Kopi Vulkanik Merapi, PT Jogja Creative Production, PT Qumiirato Mitra Berkemajuan, Black Garlic Adimas, and Arumanis Haji Ardi. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of MSME owners in implementing integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems through the SIDEK-ERP platform, enabling more effective, accountable, and efficient business management.
Head of the Department of Accounting at FEB UGM, Prof. Sony Warsono, MAFIS, Ak., CA., Ph.D., emphasized that the development of SIDEK-ERP reflects the university’s tangible contribution to society, particularly to MSMEs.
“This initiative responds to the question frequently raised by MSME owners: ‘Which UGM innovations can truly benefit MSMEs?’ Through SIDEK-ERP, we hope to address issues related to taxation and financial management, making business operations easier and more efficient,” he said.
Prof. Sony added that proper business recordkeeping is a fundamental pillar of sustainable business operations. Sound financial management is essential for every enterprise. He also expressed hope that SIDEK-ERP would continue to evolve and benefit MSMEs across Indonesia.
“We hope this innovation will reach MSMEs not only in Yogyakarta but also in other regions, allowing more businesses to benefit from simplified and well-organized business recordkeeping,” he added.
Through this training, participants gained practical knowledge on implementing SIDEK-ERP as a digital solution for recording business transactions, managing financial information, and ensuring compliance with administrative and tax obligations. In the future, the initiative is expected to expand the adoption of SIDEK-ERP as part of broader efforts to build a sustainable digital accounting ecosystem for MSMEs throughout Indonesia.
