Tesday (21/2), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held a Publication Workshop with a multinational company publishing and managing journals from the United States: SAGE Publishing. This event was held at Djarum Hall, inviting UGM external and internal audiences. This event aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the FEB UGM academic community and the general audience in the processing and analysis of business cases and scientific papers. Therefore, this event is titled "Business Case Scientific Paper & Writing Workshop."
SAGE Publishing already has a close relationship with FEB UGM, and this underlies the successful implementation of this workshop. FEB lecturers and education staff who attended the seminar included Gigih Fitrianto, S.E., M.Sc., PhD, Widya Paramita, S.E., M.Sc., PhD, as well as education staff specifically in the publication unit. The speaker at this workshop was the Asia-Pacific managing director of SAGE Publishing, Rosalia da Garcia. Rosalia explained and led the workshop in two sessions.
In the first session, Rosalia explained the business case and the things that need to be considered in writing it. The business case is an essential academic material, especially in the FEB UGM environment as a school of business and economics, so the first session is expected to improve the quality of business case writing so that it can become good learning and discussion material, based on the theoretical framework of economics and business. After the first session, the second session was held with material covering the stages of research and scientific work that was good and right. The second session material will be helpful in thesis writing and student scientific writing. This workshop took place interactively due to the availability of Q&A sessions at the end of each session. The FEB UGM Publication Office hopes this event can provide new knowledge for students, lecturers, and academics inside and outside the UGM environment.
