Platform TipTip

Friday (15/09), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM), together with TipTip, held a Talk Show with the topic “Digital Business Trends”. This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. This event was held at the Pertamina Tower Auditorium, 6th floor, FEB UGM. On this occasion, the resource person present was Nuruddin Al Fithroh, Chief Sales Officer of Tip Tip, who discussed digital business opportunities in the future. He opened the presentation by providing an introduction to the TipTip company profile.

TipTip is a platform that connects the creator ecosystem and community to engage and monetize through various channels. This application is here to help creators and developing communities to generate income from existing opportunities. There are four activities offered by TipTip, namely Creator and Community, Promoter, Brand and Supporter. Through the Creator and Community menus, TipTip helps creators start monetization and manage memberships and audiences. Through Promoter, TipTip helps in sales and earns commissions, monitors sales performance, and draws from revenue. Through Brand, TipTip seeks additional income for creators and communities and brand exposure. Meanwhile, through Supporter, TipTip helps purchase content, subscribe to favourite creators, and interact directly with creators through events or live sessions.

Three things are the main differences and uniqueness of TipTip. First, this platform provides solutions for new creators and communities to monetize through various channels. TipTip also supports community engagement and membership engagement and seeks regular income through paid subscriptions. Second, TipTip increases revenue for new creators and the community through a network of promoters. This is done by opening up monetization opportunities for creators, even those who do not have many followers. TipTip also seeks to increase the number of buyers through promoters and community events. Third, TipTip maintains closer relationships with community members through various events. To implement this, TipTip is building micro-communities in Indonesia and holding hybrid meetings (online and offline) for engagement with fans.

Next, Nuruddin explained the digital transformation of PT XL Axiata. In 2022, XL increased the number of customers by 2.3 million from the previous year, so total customers in 2022 were recorded at 57.2 million. Several factors are behind this success, including developing digital products and services, increasing team members’ digital capabilities, and network expansion. In 2022, XL’s revenue will be recorded at IDR 57.3 trillion. This figure increased by 10.2% from the previous year. This increase was caused by growth in revenue from data services and digital services. Nuruddin also explained various digital business opportunities that could be developed, such as content creation, e-commerce, digital marketing, gaming, programming, blogging, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), language translation, and dropshipping.
