Collaborating with Alphaton, FEB UGM Holds Workshop and Competition

Saturday (4/11), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) collaborated with Alphaton to hold a workshop. This activity was held at Auditorium Pertamina Tower FEB UGM. Alphaton is an international company that operates in the field of financial modelling. This collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goal No. 4, namely Quality Education.

In this workshop, students were given material regarding quantitative finance, basic concepts of alphas, and practice in designing alphas using the BRAIN platform from WorldQuant. Students were also given further information regarding the Alphathon competition. This competition offers prizes totalling 3000 USD for ten winners. The winners will also receive an attractive offer, namely the opportunity to intern as a research consultant at WorldQuant.
