Friderica Widyasari Dewi Steps Up as General Chairwoman of KAFEGAMA 2024-2027

Dr. Frederica Widyasari Dewi, S.E., M.B.A. was elected as the General Chairwoman of the Central Management (PP) of the Faculty of Economics and Business Alumni Family Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAFEGAMA) for the period 2024-2027 at the KAFEGAMA IV National Conference (Munas) at the FEB UGM Campus, Saturday (05/04/2024) afternoon.

Frederica was elected as the General Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA, replacing Dr. Perry Warjiyo, S.E. M.Sc., Ph.D. In her speech, Federica expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her to lead KAFEGAMA for the next five years. She emphasized that KAFEGAMA’s future journey must be accompanied by the intention to contribute to the progress of its alma mater, the FEB UGM.

“I hope for the support of all members to actively participate in the realization of KAFEGAMA 2024-2027, which is united (guyub), harmonious (rukun) and migratory (migunani),” she said.

In the National Conference IV & Syawalan KAFEGAMA event held at the Auditorium of the FEB UGM Learning Center Building, three main agendas were discussed, namely the Central Management (PP) Accountability Report for the period 2021-2024, Commission Hearings, and the Election of the General Chairman for the period 2024-2027. This activity was attended by 175 participants, including Central Management, Regional Management, and KAFEGAMA members.

Several important personalities attended this meeting, including the General Chairman of the Gadjah Mada Alumni Family (KAGAMA), Ir. H. Ganjar Pranowo, General Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA for the period 2021-2024, who is also the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Dr. Perry Warjiyo, S.E. M.Sc., Ph.D., Chairman of KAFEGAMA DIY Regional Management, Dr. Bogat Agus Riyono, M.Sc., Ak., CA, and Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA Advisory Council who is also Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com, Ak., CA.

Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA Advisory Council, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., in his speech, said that KAFEGAMA has a massive role in supporting national development, especially in national and international situations that are dynamic and require various changes to be anticipated.

“The role of KAFEGAMA is huge because its members have become prominent and critical in influencing the progress of our country,” he hoped.

The General Chairman of PP KAFEGAMA for the period 2021-2024, Dr. Perry Warjiyo, S.E. M.Sc., PhD, in his speech at the opening of the KAFEGAMA IV National Conference, urged all KAFEGAMA leaders and members to continue to be guided by and apply the motto of unity (guyub), harmony (rukun) and migration (migunani).

“It is hoped that KAFEGAMA will always be committed to migunani and provide leadership and policy formulation at the national level,” he said.

The President General of KAGAMA, Ganjar Pranowo, expressed similar hopes. He hopes that this national meeting can produce good agreements that are unity (guyub), harmony (rukun), and migrant (migunani), like KAFEGAMA’s motto.

“The new management of KAFEGAMA will hopefully include young and creative KAFEGAMA management. Some young people will participate in KAFEGAMA in the future,” he added.

Apart from the appointment of Friderica Widyasari Dewi as the General Chairperson of PP KAFEGAMA for the period 2024-2027 at the KAFEGAMA IV National Conference, the formation team for PP KAFEGAMA for the period 2024-2027 was also determined and ratified. Next, KAFEGAMA West Java Regional Management (pengda) was appointed as the candidate to host the KAFEGAMA V National Conference.

The KAFEGAMA IV National Conference concluded with a symbolic handover of leadership from Dr. Perry Warjiyo, S.E. M.Sc., Ph.D., Chairman of the Commissionary General to Dr. Friderica Widyasari Dewi, S.E., M.B.A., Elected General Chair. The event continued with the Halalbihalal session of Syawalan 1445 H. An MSME exhibition with leather craft products, batik, herbal drinks, typical Yogyakarta food souvenirs, souvenirs, and coffee also enlivened the National Conference event. One is Nusantara Coffee, a FEB UGM entrepreneurship initiative directly managed by students. The exhibition was attended by 19 selected MSME units representing Bank Indonesia, Bank BPD DIY, ISEI Yogyakarta Branch, Kafegama DIY, Bank BRI, and FEB UGM Yogyakarta.
