The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), is strongly committed to improving the quality of public information services. This initiative aligns with UGM’s efforts to promote transparency and openness in information dissemination.

FEB UGM has developed several innovations to promote accessibility and ensure effective and transparent information services for the entire FEB academic community. One of these service innovations is digitizing services to facilitate public access to information.

The FEB UGM has developed an online platform called the Integrated Information System of Economics and Business (SINTESIS). This platform facilitates access to a wide range of information, increasing transparency and encouraging public participation. It serves as a manifestation of an integrated data ecosystem, integrating 34 information service systems covering academic affairs, student affairs, human resources, collaboration, and asset management.

In addition, FEB UGM has established a one-stop service in the form of an information center staffed by personnel from various units of FEB UGM. This information center ensures that services to the public can be provided more effectively. Furthermore, the services are integrated online with the UGM PPID website, UGM Alumni, and other information systems outside FEB UGM. The Information Center also provides disability-friendly services.

As part of the evaluation of the implementation of public information transparency at UGM, the UGM PPID conducted an internal monitoring and evaluation (monev) of several PPID implementers at UGM, including the PPID implementer of FEB UGM, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The Secretary of the University and Chief PPID of UGM, Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, S.H., LL.M., led the internal monitoring and evaluation. The visit was received by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Alumni of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., at the office of the PPID Implementer of FEB UGM.

Chief PPID of UGM, Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, S.H., LL.M., explained that internal monitoring and evaluation of PPID implementers is part of the process to improve the overall quality of public information services at UGM. In addition, internal monitoring and evaluation are conducted to ensure that public information services at UGM, including those at FEB, function properly and meet the standards set by the Central Information Commission (KIP) of the Republic of Indonesia. The internal monitoring and evaluation also support the implementation of e-monitoring and evaluation for public information openness by KIP RI.

“We ask for the support of PPID implementers, including FEB UGM, to show what has been done or implemented to support public information transparency,” he said.

Andi mentioned that in the past five years, UGM has been awarded the title of “Informative Public Institution” by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia. In 2023, UGM was ranked among the top two national public institutions in the category of state universities.

Meanwhile, FEB UGM’s Vice Dean for Research, Community Service and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., expressed FEB UGM’s willingness to support improving public information transparency services at UGM. FEB UGM is firmly committed to providing accountable and high-quality information services, thereby contributing to greater transparency in the academic environment.

“FEB UGM is fully committed to improving the quality of information services that are transparent, accountable, and effective for the public,” he emphasized.

Through this internal monitoring and evaluation activity, he hopes FEB UGM can further improve the quality of services in providing information to the public. In this way, FEB UGM can best support UGM’s vision of becoming a credible and innovative public information provider.
