Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), have once again achieved national recognition. Ni Wayan Anggita Mayolly (Accounting 2024) and Rahel Regina Nataline Sidabutar (Accounting 2024) won First Place in the 2026 National Essay Competition.
The competition was part of Clash of University 2026, organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, on 28 June 2026.

This perspective became the central focus of the session “Building Inclusive Business: Creating Value Through Disability Inclusion”, held as part of Global Summer Week (GSW) 2026 on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Understanding the needs and lived experiences of communities is the first step toward creating meaningful innovation. Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom., Cand.Merc., Ph.D., encouraged participants of Global Summer Week 2026 to develop impactful solutions by placing empathy at the heart of the innovation process during the workshop “Empathy and Inclusive Design Thinking.”
Nurul explained that the design thinking approach places people at the center of every innovation process.
