The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held the FEB UGM Sharing Session and Alumni Gathering at the Aryaduta Hotel Ballroom, Palembang on Friday (April 11, 2025). The event aimed to introduce the postgraduate programs of FEB UGM to the public, especially alumni and prospective students.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni, stated that this activity served as a platform to share the latest updates on the development of FEB UGM. It also provided an opportunity for alumni to contribute to the ongoing progress of the faculty.
“FEB UGM offers 14 study programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, organized in three departments: Accounting, Economics, and Management. Some of our postgraduate programs include the Master of Management, Master of Accounting, Master of Development Economics, and Master of Science and Doctoral Programs,” he explained.
Prof. Tandelilin Eduardus, M.B.A., Ph.D., Head of the Master of Management Program (Jakarta Campus), added that the postgraduate programs are open to all Universitas Gadjah Mada alumni.
“Here in Palembang, we are joined by members of the Gadjah Mada Alumni Family (KAGAMA). We refer to the alumni as a ‘family’ rather than just a ‘network’ because family conveys a closer, more meaningful bond,” he said.
Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., Head of the Master of Management Program (Yogyakarta Campus), emphasized that UGM students come from all over Indonesia. He hoped more local talents from South Sumatra would continue their studies at UGM.
“We hope future generations from diverse educational backgrounds will take part in building Indonesia. At UGM, we carefully structure the learning process to produce graduates of high quality and integrity,” he concluded.
