The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), is promoting greater environmental awareness among its academic community through the Green Habits campaign. This initiative uses educational posters in both digital and print formats, placed at strategic points across the campus.
Head of the Administrative Office of FEB UGM, Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak, CA., ASEAN CPA., explained that the Green Habits campaign uses a visual communication approach to educate students, lecturers, and professional staff about the importance of reducing food waste, adopting the habit of using tumblers, and using energy more wisely.
In addition, FEB UGM is reducing the use of printed documents by encouraging digital documents for various administrative and academic processes. The goal is to encourage more sustainable consumption habits and the wise use of resources.
“The goal is to educate the campus community about reducing food waste, using tumblers, and saving energy,” he said.
Nur Bakti Susilo added that the Green Habits campaign aims to encourage behavioral changes in consumption and resource use to become more sustainable.
This initiative is also part of FEB UGM’s commitment to supporting sustainability practices on campus. By building awareness through simple messages that appear in the daily activities of the academic community, FEB UGM hopes that environmentally friendly habits will become a shared culture on campus.
