The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), organized a professional staff development program through a recreational event titled Picnicfest 2026. Held from 3–5 July 2026 in Purwokerto, the program offered staff an opportunity to recharge while fostering stronger relationships and collaboration among professional staff across FEB UGM.
The event was attended by 214 professional staff members from various departments and study programs within FEB UGM. Participants enjoyed a series of recreational activities, including an off-road jeep adventure and a visit to Baturraden Tourist Park.

FEB UGM Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Suyanto, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., stated that the staff development program provided a valuable opportunity to bring together professional staff from different study programs and work units, who typically interact primarily within their respective teams. “Through this program, we have the opportunity to strengthen our connections, get to know one another better, and foster a greater sense of togetherness among professional staff across the various study programs and work units at FEB UGM,” he said during the welcoming dinner on Saturday evening (4/7).
The event was also attended by FEB UGM Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D.
A warm and cheerful atmosphere characterized the entire recreational program, reflecting FEB UGM’s commitment to strengthening camaraderie among its professional staff. Rafida Salma, a professional staff member from the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, shared that the event provided a meaningful opportunity to build stronger relationships with colleagues. “The staff outing was an enjoyable opportunity to strengthen our bonds with colleagues. I hope the friendships and togetherness we have built will continue to grow and further enhance collaboration within FEB UGM,” she said.

Similarly, Imam Nur Prasetya, a professional staff member from the Master of Economics Development (MEP) Study Program, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the program alongside the entire FEB UGM professional staff community. He noted that the event allowed colleagues to get to know one another better while strengthening their sense of unity.

Findi Diah Kusma Putri, a professional staff member from the Master of Accounting and Professional Accounting Education (PPAk) Study Program, also shared her enthusiasm. She described Picnicfest 2026 as the perfect opportunity to unwind before returning to work with renewed energy and productivity. For Findi, the gala dinner was the most memorable part of the event because it brought together professional staff from all study programs and work units across FEB UGM.
“Everyone gathered in one place and had the chance to reconnect and share stories with colleagues they had not seen for a long time,” she said.
