Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) have achieved another remarkable accomplishment in a national-level marketing competition. Two FEB UGM students, collaborating with a student from the Faculty of Engineering UGM (FT UGM), won Second Place in the Marketing Campaign Competition category of the 2026 National Youth Creator Challenge, organized by Deli n’co of PT MCDelica Food Indonesia from February 27 to March 31, 2026.
The team, named The Brandstormers, consisted of Btari Edlyna Larasati (Management, 2023), Valencia Oktaliana Ekaputri (Economics, 2023), and Amalia Mahadewiqu Rachmadhiani (Chemical Engineering, 2023). In the competition, they developed the B.I.T.E. Strategy, an integrated marketing strategy for Deli n’co’s ready-to-eat products.
Valencia explained that the B.I.T.E. Strategy was designed to optimize each stage of the marketing funnel, from building brand awareness to driving purchase decisions. The strategy consists of four stages: *Buzz* to increase brand awareness, *Ignite* to spark consumer curiosity, *Transform* to turn interest into purchase intention, and *Execute* to encourage purchase decisions.
“The strategy integrates marketing through digital platforms with activities that allow consumers to interact with and experience the products directly,” she explained.
In addition, The Brandstormers developed an approach to optimize the marketing and partnership strategies already implemented by the brand. The approach aimed to expand market reach, increase consumer engagement, and strengthen the appeal of Deli n’co products, particularly among Generation Z consumers.
This achievement provided valuable experience for Btari, Valencia, and Amalia in applying their academic knowledge to address real-world marketing challenges in the industry. Their accomplishment is expected to inspire other students to continue developing creativity, strategic thinking skills, and innovative solutions that are relevant to industry needs.
