Tim Champions

The Champions Team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), won first place in the Economic Future Leader (EFL) Business Case Competition 2025 by EFL Universitas Negeri Semarang. The competition took place online from April 14 to May 24, 2025.

In this competition, the Champion team consisting of Ivan Hiumawan (Management), Ericha Mellyana (Management 2023), Rr. Hadijah Putri Jasmine (Management 2023) successfully beat 65 teams from well-known universities in Indonesia, such as Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Brawijaya, and Universitas Airlangga.

Ivan said each team in the competition must complete a case study related to urban farming. The case study focused on Bhumi Horta, a company engaged in the urban agriculture sector. Based on the team’s analysis, the company faced three main problems: suboptimal sales of farming products due to ineffective distribution channels, untapped B2B market potential as the company was still focusing on the B2C segment, and ineffective digital platforms used for education and sales.

“We offer a comprehensive strategy to overcome these challenges with an innovative approach based on market research and technology,” he explained.

Ivan Hiumawan expressed his pride for the achievements made by the Champion team. In the future, he hopes to continue to make achievements from other competitions, and the successes obtained can inspire other FEB students.
