Rampoe UGM Won A Gold Medal in Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival 2018 in South Korea

Aceh Rampoe traditional dance community of Universitas Gadjah Mada (Rampoe UGM), one of its member is Fairuz Hasna Oktriany (Economics 2016), had won a gold medal in Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival 2018 in South Korea.
Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival 2018 was held in the city of Wonju, South Korea from 11th until 16th September 2018. This event was attended by 12 countries, 38 teams, and 1605 people from all over the world. This cultural mission of Rampoe UGM in the country of ginseng was consisted of 22 delegates, including 16 female dancers, 3 musicians, 1 singer, 1 manager and 1 photographer. The members of Rampoe UGM presented the Ratoeh Pukat dance which was also accompanied by Islamic poems in this competition. This dance performance depicts the daily life of Acehnese people who uphold solidarity.
The success of the Rampoe UGM team cannot be separated from their hard work and perseverance of training which were already carried out by the members since the beginning of 2018. This achievement is a pride for Rampoe UGM because it introduced Indonesian culture at the international level as well as it brought the country name from winning the competition.
