The undergraduate student team of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM consisted of Reza Fernandes (Economics 2015), Irawati Eviana (Economics 2015), and Ratih Kusumawarda (Economics 2015) won second place in the National Student Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) the 12th Annual Conference of Economics Forum (ALCOFE XII) 2018 held at Universitas Sebelas Maret.
The Annual Conference of Economics Forum (ALCOFE) is an annual event organized by the Economics Development Student Association (HMJ EP) Universitas Sebelas Maret, which this year has been held for the 12th time. Its activities include the National High School Economic Olympiad, National Student Scientific Writing Contest (LKTI), and National Seminar with the theme “Creative Economic Development Through Empowering Sub-Sectors to Enhance Indonesian Development,” (Bahasa Indonesia, Pengembangan Ekonomi Kreatif Melalui Pemberdayaan Sub Sektor Untuk Meningkatkan Pembangunan Indonesia).
National Student Scientific Writing Competition in the 12th ALCOFE consists of three phase, the first is collecting abstracts, collecting papers, and finally presenting scientific papers. At the presentation of scientific papers were held on November 15-18 2018, 10 finalists are selected, the team is from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, STIS Jakarta, Pertamina University, STIE YKPN, STTN, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.
In this competition five champions were selected. The first winner was achieved by the student team from Universitas Negeri Semarang, the second winner achieved by Universitas Gadjah Mada, and third place was achieved by Universitas Sebelas Maret.
