UGM Students Win 1st Place in National Business Case Competition 2018 at Universitas Airlangga

The Teratai team which consisted of three undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), consist of Moh. Andhika Satria Perdana (Accounting 2017), Muhammad Yusuf Ridwan (Accounting 2017), and Yosephine Audriana (Management 2017), succeeded in achieving the 1st winner trophy in the National Business Case Competition 2018. The event was held by the Management Undergraduate Student Association (HIMA S1) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga.
The National Business Case Competition 2018 is a national scale business case competition as one of the sub-events of the Management Expo 2018, the biggest Management’s Undergraduate events on the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga. This activity is held every year and opened for undergraduate students from all universities in Indonesia. National Business Case Competition 2018 raised the big theme "Industrial Revolution: How to Survive in the Fast Change and Different Environment".
The Delegation of FEB UGM had to pass 3 stages, including from pre-case, semifinal, and final. In the pre-case stage, the Teratai team sent a paper to answer the given case questions. After qualifying for the semifinal stage, the committee gave different cases to be completed in the form of paper and video. Then, in the final stage, 8 of the best teams were invited to go to Surabaya on Friday-Sunday, 19-21 October 2018. The final stage was divided into two rounds with 50:50 proportion. First, the Teratai team had to present the case given at the semifinal stage. Second, the committee provided an on-the-spot case that must be completed in a short time and presented the following day. The Teratai FEB UGM was able to finish both and reach the top rank.
