FEB UGM Student Won 1st Place in ASEAN Student Scientific Competition 2018 at Universitas Negeri Surabaya

Undergraduate student of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM joined in Pludge Team consist of Rickfan Wijaya (Accounting 2016), Thomas Theo Wibowo (Accounting 2016) dan Novaldo Rizqi Alif (Accounting 2016) has won first place in Debate Competition ASEAN Student Scientific Competition (ASSC) 2018 held at Universitas Negeri Surabaya.
ASEAN Student Scientific Competition (ASSC) 2018 was a competition held by Student Executive Board of Faculty of Economics Universitas Negeri Surabaya with the theme of "Developing ASEAN Economic Growth to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in 2030". The event was organized from October 26th – 28th 2018. ASSC 2018 was divided into two categories, namely Call for Paper and Debate competition.
The debate competition was attended by 10 selected best teams consisted of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Negeri Surakarta, UPN Jawa Timur, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, PENS Surabaya, Universitas Negeri Semarang, and Universitas Negeri Surabaya. There were two qualifying stages which were being undertaken to enter the semifinal. The FEB UGM team managed to win the 1st place in the final qualifying stage 1 and 2. Being qualified to continue to the final round, the FEB UGM team obtained the opposition side whereas a team from Universitas Negeri Surakarta as the proposition. A topic which was debated in the final round was about the enhancement of cheap wages for workers as the economic policy.
Finally, FEB UGM became the first winner in this competition.
