FEB UGM Students Won 2nd Winner in HSBC Business Case Competition 2019

The Alpha team, consist of four student from International Undergraduate Program of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada won second place in HSBC Business Case Competition in held on April 27th to 29th 2019. The team is consisted of Felicia Joanna Siahaan (Economics-IUP 2015), Ayasha Kirana Nusantoro (Economics-IUP 2015), Tita Dwi Khairina (Economics-IUP 2015) and Made Bilan Asasia Binov (Management-IUP 2016).
HSBC Business Case Competition is an annual event organized together between PT Bank HSBC Indonesia and Putera Sampoerna Foundation designed for undergraduate students. This competition is aimed to find the sharpest business minds of Indonesia’s future leaders and prepare them to compete as the country’s representative in the International Grand Final in Hong Kong. Case studies and researches are released and organized by the Asia Case Research Centre (ACRC) for undergraduate students.
The competition consists of 2 stages; Preliminary Round (15 teams) and National Final Round (3 teams). In the final round, teams are needed to find strategies for both Facebook and Tencent since in the past years both companies have been in a race to be the number one. In technology and social networking. The invited judges are practitioners from HSBC, KPMG, BCG, Siemens, etc.
2nd place winner achieved by Brain on Fire Team from Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and 3rd place winner achieved by Tres Blen Team from IPMI Business School.
