The CPA team from undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM consisting of Ratna Sari (Accounting 2018), Wulandari (Accounting 2018), and Yadi Suryadi (Accounting 2018) under the guidance of Mr. Haryono, M.Comm, Ak., CA, as a Lecturer in the Accounting Department FEB UGM, won 2nd place in the 21st ATV FEB UI competition for the Audit Competition category.
ATV or Audit Competition, Conference, Training, Seminar, and Company Visit FEB UI itself is the largest and oldest audit event organized by the Professionalism Study of Accountants, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (SPA FEB UI) for students majoring in Accounting from all universities in Indonesia.
The theme raised by ATV FEB UI this year is “Embracing the Future: Auditor’s Roles in Creating Business Resiliency and Facing Digital Disruption” which hopes that this competition can provide an overview of the future work of auditors to Accounting students. In addition, this competition is also expected to be a benchmark for students to continue to develop and test their knowledge about the world of auditing.
To achieve its victory, the CPA Team succeeded in going through the main round consisting of a written test, quizzes, audit planning, and audit simulation on 22-24 November 2021. The CPA team then presented the results of the audit planning and audit simulation work in front of the jury. The jury in this competition consisted of Sandy Hasonudin, S.E, CPA (Partner at EY Indonesia), Dede Rusli S.E, CPA (Partner at EY Indonesia), and Irwan Haswir S.E, CPA (Partner at EY Indonesia).
This competition tests the participants’ analytical, cognitive, and problem solving skills related to audits in detail with the assistance of a Public Accounting Firm who is willing to become a provider of case questions. The CPA team finally managed to take second place and beat more than 100 participants from various universities in Indonesia. Congratulations to the winning team for making FEB UGM proud on the national level!
