Youngpreneur Competition 2024

The undergraduate student teams from the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) triumphed in the 2024 Youngpreneur Competition x CBCC, organized by the Young Entrepreneur Club (YEC) at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Brawijaya on October 14-15, 2024.

With the theme “RESOLVE: Real Economic Solutions for Sustainability and Visionary Empowerment”, FEB UGM teams achieved remarkable success, winning 1st and 3rd place in the Business Case Competition category.

The SKY Consulting team won first place over Rifaldi Pratama Siboro, Agnes Yohana Pangaribuan, and Fathin Nabil Hakim from the 2022 cohort of the Management Study Program. They presented an innovative solution to address the issues faced by the Rumah Alam Jaya organization.

Meanwhile, the Jerami team comprising Zheilda Eirizca Suyitno, Nadia Kamila Khairunnisa, and Raisa Aulia Pratistha Putri, also from the Management Study Program 2022 cohort, secured third place.

Rifaldi explained that their victory came after three rigorous stages of the competition. First, the SKY Consulting team had to compete against 37 other teams in the preliminary round. From there, 23 teams advanced to the semifinals, and six advanced to the finals.

“Completing the proposal was challenging, especially since midterms occurred simultaneously. Therefore, we had to find extra time to work on the semifinal proposal and presentation pitch deck,” Rifaldi explained on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

The grand final held offline at FEB Universitas Brawijaya, featured six finalist teams, including three from Universitas Gadjah Mada, two from Universitas Indonesia, and one from Binus University. The finalists presented their business ideas to a panel of three expert judges specializing in operational supply chain, marketing development, and social business.

As a result, the two FEB UGM teams successfully brought home two prestigious titles from the competition. Their achievements are expected to inspire and motivate other FEB UGM students to continue excelling in various competitions in the future.
