Guest Lecture: Bank Muamalat Position in Indonesian Banking Industry Perspective

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the competencies of its professional staff through a series of training programs.

In today’s fast-paced digital era, consumers increasingly demand speed and accessibility in their shopping experiences. It has pushed business owners to adapt by utilizing various sales channels to reach a broader range of consumers. 

Dimas Herdy Utomo, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., founder of Serabut Nusa and Circularva, explained that Indonesia’s high internet penetration, reaching 74.6% of the total population, presents a significant opportunity for MSMEs to market their products online.

Students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), have once again achieved national recognition. The UGM Boys team, consisting of Immanuel Andrew Tambunan (Accounting 2024), Faaza Fadhlurrahman (Accounting 2023), and Deni Kurniawan Saputra (Property Management and Valuation SV 2023), won 1st Place in the Stock Case Competition at the Capital Market Competition (COMIC) 2025, organized by Trisakti School of Management on July 26, 2025.

A total of 67 teams from leading universities across Indonesia participated in this capital market research competition, including Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), IPB University, BINUS University, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Petra Christian University, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ), Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY), among others.

The team advanced to the final round after passing the preliminary stage, which required submitting an equity research report on PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT).
