FEB UGM Holds Farewell Ceremony for Retiring Professional Staff

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held a farewell ceremony to honor its retiring professional staff on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Kertanegara Room, FEB UGM.

During the event, FEB UGM bid farewell to seven retiring professional staff members: Eka Wajiana (MM Yogyakarta), Santosa (MM Yogyakarta), Hadi Suharso (MM Yogyakarta), Wijaya Sudaryanta (MM Yogyakarta), Raden Bambang Sunaryo (MM Yogyakarta), Tri Sulasiyah (MEP), and Rr. Dewi Mungkastari (KAF FEB).

The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Akt., expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the retirees in advancing the Faculty. He also encouraged the current professional staff to learn from the commitment and service demonstrated by their predecessors.

“After retirement, we hope you remain active, prioritize your health, and enjoy more time with your families. We sincerely appreciate your dedication and apologize for any shortcomings during our time working together,” he stated.

The Head of FEB UGM’s Administrative Office, Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak., CA., ASEAN CPA, also conveyed his gratitude and pride, acknowledging the retirees for their outstanding achievements and dedicated service throughout their careers at FEB UGM.

“Thank you for your incredible contributions to the advancement of FEB UGM. Your dedication serves as an exemplary model for colleagues who remain in service,” he said.

Representing the retiring professional staff, Dewi Mungkastari expressed her gratitude for the guidance and support she received throughout her tenure at FEB UGM. She also hoped that her contributions would continue to benefit the faculty.

Tri Sulasiyah shared a similar sentiment, recalling the guidance and direction she received from the start of her career at MEP FEB UGM. She reflected on joining FEB UGM in 1995 when MEP was newly established, highlighting the challenges and unforgettable memories that shaped her journey.

Meanwhile, Wijaya Sudaryanta expressed his hope that professional staff still in service would continue to uphold professionalism in their work, ensuring optimal service for the FEB UGM academic community and stakeholders.

The farewell ceremony was a moment of appreciation for the retiring professional staff who had dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to the advancement of FEB UGM. Their commitment and spirit will continue to inspire future generations.
