A Joyful Graduation Ceremony of Undergraduate Program, Period of Februari 2014

The atmosphere of happiness was surrounding the University Club UGM, Thursday (19/2). How could not be? There were 67 graduates that consisted of 31 graduates of Accounting Department, 7 graduates of Economics Department, and 29

graduates of Management Department who has managed bachelor degree after completing their studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM. With their bright faces, the graduates and families entered the Bulaksumur Hall to attend the Graduation Ceremony of FEB UGM Bachelor Degree Program. It began with a welcome speech from the Dean, Prof. Wihana Jaya Kirana, M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D. In his speech, the Dean announced both the 28 graduates who earn cum laude GPA and also the graduates with the fastest period of study. Among the 28 graduates who achieved high GPA, there was Rahmatdi who earned the highest GPA of 3.98. Moreover, there were also two graduates who finished their studies in the shortest period. They were Pingkan Nareswari, a graduate from International Undergraduate Program (IUP), and Dian Pertiwi, a graduate from Regular Program. They only spent 3,2 years of study in the faculty.

The Dean’s speech was followed by remarks from Sopian Darmi, a representative of the parents’ graduates. In his speech, Sopian Darmi thanked the faculty for guiding and providing the best learning and education process for their children. Rahmatdi also gave a speech in the event, “I give my best effort to get the best GPA as a form of my gratitude to God and as a reflection of  my love to my family”. The last, certificate for the best graduates were given to students of each departments, i.e. Rahmatdi from Accounting Department (3.98), Bagas Tulus Wibowo from Management Department (3.61) and Andreas Kurniawan from Economics Department (3.77). The event was closed with prayer and photo session.

We hope the best for all graduates!
