Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and PT. Bank Mandiri, Tbk. collaborated in holding the “Mandiri Edukasi 2018” event on Friday (26/10), at Auditorium Learning Center FEB UGM, 8th-floor. The event, which is held every year, aims to support and enhance the entrepreneurial skill of UGM’s students. The event was opened by Gelar Ginanjar as Assistant Vice President of Bank Mandiri followed by a speech by Hargo Utomo, Ph.D., as Directorate Development Business and Incubation UGM. As a token of gratitude, both parties hand over souvenirs to each other, represented by Linda Permatasari as the Head of Bank Mandiri Yogyakarta Area and Hargo Utomo, Ph.D., then the final agenda was a photo session with Mandiri Edukasi 2018’s participants.
The event was arranged casually which was filled with the presentation from two speakers, namely Alwy Herfian Satriatama, CEO of Majapahitech and the winner of Wirausaha Muda Mandiri 2018 Student Category in Non-Digital Technology Business, and Richi Aktorian, as Assistant Vice President CISO Office of Bank Mandiri.
Alwy talked about “How to Build a Start-up”, started with a presentation titled “Berproses 180O”, which contained his experience and hard work in starting his own entrepreneur activities. He conveyed that never giving up is the key to his success in making his life better. The second speaker, Richi Aktorian, in his presentation more emphasized about the importance of digital transaction security, Richi explained various types of crimes that could occur in digital transactions, including phishing, vishing, and smishing. In addition, Richi shared several tips of the transaction using ATM, EDC and credit card security to prevent these crimes. The enthusiasm of Mandiri Edukasi 2018 participants was maintained until the end of the event, it was proven by the emergence of various quality questions from participants.
