Bank Mandiri Launched LinkAja Platform for the Academic Community of FEB UGM

Tuesday (8/13), Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) with PT. Bank Mandiri launched the LinkAja platform in the middle of a series of Student Week events. Student Week is one of a series of events in the orientation of the new students of PPSMB SIMFONI 2019 which is divided into 3 agendas, namely the Organizational Bazaar, Entrepreneurship Expo, and Cultural Night.
LinkAja is an electronic-based financial service application that facilitates daily financial transactions. LinkAja also supports the Bank Indonesia (BI) program, the QR Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) in helping accelerate economic development and digital finance. This launching is also one of the efforts to create a cashless society within the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM.
Later, LinkAja will be used to support learning activities by facilitating payment transactions ranging from payment of library fines, payment of legalized and delivery of diplomas, tax brevets, payments in the campus canteen, and many other transactions. "The cooperation in using LinkAja platform with Bank Mandiri is an effort of FEB UGM to go a campus with a cashless administration process," said Eko Suwardi, Ph.D as the Dean of FEB UGM. During the visit, also attended Kusdhianto Setiawan, Ph.D (Vice Dean of Finance, Assets and Human Resource FEB UGM) and Amirullah Setya Hardi, Ph.D (Vice Dean of Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni). "Another goal is to build a cashless society to reach millennials," Kusdhianto said.
In line with this, Linda Permatasari as Vice President of PT Bank Mandiri Persero Tbk Area Yogyakarta said that the using of LinkAja platform will target in other campus, not only at FEB UGM, with the aim to reduce cash transactions.
With the digitalization of FEB UGM environment, it is hoped that it can be improve the efficiency of student financial transactions and optimize the potential for collaboration between the world of education and the world of banking.
