The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) of FEB UGM was established in 2005, offering three majors of Accounting, Economics, and Management. This program is in line with our vision to be the leading faculty of economics and business in Indonesia by rising to international challenges. We are proud to be the first business school in Indonesia accredited by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). This international recognition has put us among the top five percent (5%) of global business schools. Over the years, we have strengthened our global network by partnering with over 50 respected universities across the world for exchange and dual degree programs.
We also provide a range of options for our IUP students to pursue their mandatory international exposure. We have successfully held International Summer University (ISU) and International Week (iWeek) involving lecturers and students from our partner universities, including those from ASEAN universities under ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Program. Besides, students are also given the flexibility to choose their own summer and winter programs across the world.
Our IUP represents the spirit of FEB UGM’s mission. Enriched by our vibrant international network but rooted in local wisdom, we develop leaders with the integrity and knowledge needed to serve society. Our contribution to the advancement of knowledge is through quality research and teaching. Through international exposure, students not only learn academic lessons from our partner universities, but they could also gain life, social, and multicultural experience. Students are exposed with dynamic global environments and great opportunities to conduct internships with companies around the world.
Sisilia Juliana Hanamaria, our economics student shares her international exposure story at Erasmus School of Economics (ESE), Erasmus University Rotterdam.
“Why do I choose to study abroad? The reason is that I would like to expand and learn about myself. In life, being comfortable may give us a feeling of safety and confidence, but at the same time, it also can bring stagnation and feel stuck. Hence, choosing a Dual Degree program is one of the ways to push my boundaries.”, said Sisilia when we asked about her reasons for choosing the Dual Degree Program.
Sisilia revealed that as an economics student, studying in the top economics school such as the Erasmus School of Economics, was an unforgettable experience for him. She said that studying abroad provides opportunities to grow. “The International Undergraduate Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (IUP FEB UGM) allows me to gain international exposure through the Dual Degree Program at the ESE. Later, I hope this exposure can make me help other people as well.“, Sisilia said.
“This program allows me to strengthen my knowledge and skills, specifically in economics. From this program, you will have the opportunity to meet new people from different nations, and work with amazing professors and students.”, she added.
“The journey is hard and discomfort, but it is worth it. Remember to always enjoy the process and don't forget to be grateful.”, said Sisilia to prospective new students of FEB UGM.
