Release of Undergraduate Students FEB UGM Period III Academic Year 2021/2022

On Wednesday (25/05), a Graduation Ceremony for Period III of Academic Year 2021/2022 was held. This graduation ceremony was carried out 100% fully offline for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic. Even so, this event was carried out in compliance with health protocols, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, and was held in an open space, FEB UGM’s Learning Center’s lobby.

The 51 students who was a part of the third graduation period for the 2021/2022 academic year, consisting of 28 regular undergraduate program students and 23 international undergraduate program students. The event was attended by the entire academic community of FEB UGM, representatives of KAFEGAMA, guardians of graduates, and of course the graduates themselves. The ceremony was opened with a speech given by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA. as the Dean of FEB UGM. Didi thanked the lecturers who had guided FEB UGM students so that they could carry out their current graduation. He also congratulated the students for successfully obtaining a bachelor’s degree. He hopes that the knowledge they gained can be useful for the whole community.

The next remarks were given by Elisa Divia Putri, who was the winner of the highest GPA in the graduation period III for the 2021/2022 academic year. Elisa congratulated her comrades in arms for everything she did to complete her undergraduate studies. She mentioned gratitude as well to her parents, lecturers who have guided her through the journey, and friends who have always provided support.

Meanwhile, Sucipto Prayitno, parent to graduate Julio Dewa Wicaksono, stated that this graduation signifies that our sons and daughters have passed one of the big stages in their life. This is also a blessing from the prayers and support from parents and lecturers who always accompanied the students. He also explained that in looking for a job, we must have knowledge, ability, integrity, and honesty. He believes that nothing can replace hard work, let alone success, with luck. Sucipto advised the graduates to not to be afraid to make mistakes and to learn from those mistakes,have the courage to make decisions, but to also take into account the risks that may come from it.

Furthermore, Dr. Friderica Widyasari Dewi, SE, MBA as an alumnus of the 1994 Bachelor of Management, General Secretary of PP KAFEGAMA, and the OJK Board of Commissioners for the 2022-2027 Period, explained that there were many new job opportunities, such as the green economy, and technology-based start-ups. With these job opportunities, it is hoped that the younger generation can fill these positions. He also congratulated the graduates on their new life after completing their undergraduate education.

The next event was pin pinning to students with the best GPA. Among them were Elisa Divia Putri from the Accounting Study Program, Julio Dewa Wicaksono from the Management Study Program, and Bartolomeus NugrohoWidiatmoko from the Economics Study Program. The first pin was the KAFEGAMA pin given by Dr. Bogat Agus Riyono, M.Sc. Ak., CA., Prof. Dr.Tandelilin Eduardus, MBA, and Dr. Friderica Widyasari Dewi, SE, MBA, a representative of KAFEGAMA. Next was the submission of a cum laude certificate given by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA. The graduation ceremony was closed with a prayer reading and a group photo.
