Visits of Faculty of Business and Economics UNIMELB at the FEB

Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Gadjah Mada, in its attempt to achieve its vision and mission, continuously try to develop its international network. In addition to opening many new

collaborations with various universities abroad, FEB UGM also continues to improve the quality of the cooperation that already established.

In order to improve the quality of cooperation with its partner universities, FEB UGM on Thursday (05/08) welcomed a visit from Prof. Nasser Spear, Associate Dean (Global Engagement, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Melbourne, Australia). Prof. Spear’s visit was welcomed directly by the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Prof. Marwan Asri, MBA., Ph.D who was accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Community Service, Dr. BM. Purwanto, MBA., Vice Dean of Finance and Human Resources Administration, Dr. Eko Suardi, M.Sc. and staff of the Office of International Affairs FEB UGM.

On that visit, the discussion covered existing cooperation, which has been running well between the two sides, and some possibilities that can be done to make the established cooperation even better in the future. One of the points agreed upon in the discussion is that the University of Melbourne will allocate more scholarships for FEB UGM students who want to continue the double degree program there. It also opens the opportunity to undertake “Global Mobility Program”, a kind of short summer course at the University of Melbourne.

The visit of Prof. Nasser Spear is expected to bring significant improvement to the cooperation FEB UGM and FBE Unimelb in future.
