Final Tribute Ceremony to the Deceased Prof. Sri Adiningsih

The big family of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is feeling deep sorrow because one of its best professors, Prof. Sri Adiningsih, Ph.D., M.Sc., has passed away. Prof. Sri breathed her last at dr. Sardjito on Saturday, 17 June 2023, at 18.37 WIB, at the age of 62. The Consolation Service for the deceased was held on Sunday (18/06) from 08.00-11.00 WIB at the PUKJ Yogyakarta Funeral Home. After the Consolation Service was held, all UGM members paid their last respects to the deceased Prof. Sri at the Balairung UGM. This event was attended by Prof. Boediono, Ph.D. (Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia from 2009-2014), Ir. Budi Karya Sumadi (Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia for 2019-2024), Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) leaders, UGM leaders and academics, and the deceased's family.
The tribute procession begins at 12.00 WIB. Pastor Tjondro Firmanto Gordjito started the event by delivering a speech on behalf of the deceased's family. He expressed his deep sadness at the passing of Prof. Sri. With a sincere heart, he was grateful for the support given by all the big UGM family and colleagues of Prof. Sri, who made the family stronger in facing the death of the deceased. Furthermore, Prof. Didi Achjari, as the Dean of FEB UGM, read the curriculum vitae (CV) of the deceased and then shared his impressions of the deceased in short remarks. "We remember her, who was very friendly and always helped us, especially in carrying out her duties at the Dean," recalled Prof. Didi.
Then, Major General Pol (Purn) Drs. Sidarto Danusubroto, the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) representative, delivered a speech on behalf of the extended presidential family. "We lost one of the nation's best daughters," he said. He recalled Prof. Sri as a person with integrity and who always upholds the principles of the nation and state. The following speech was made by Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochammad Maksum, M.Sc., Chairman of the UGM Council of Professors. He expressed his condolences for the passing of Prof. Sri, who has been a role model, scientist, leader, and female economist who has contributed so much to the nation and state.
The final session of the tribute procession was the reading of a prayer led by Pastor Kristi from the Gondokusuman Javanese Christian Church (GKJ), Yogyakarta. After the tribute procession at Balairung UGM, a funeral service was held at GKJ Gondokusuman at 13.00 WIB. Furthermore, the body departed to the Mount Sempu Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at 15.00 WIB. The FEB UGM academic community feels deep sorrow over her passing. May the deceased be forgiven for all her sins, accept her good deeds, and get the best place at His side. Goodbye, Prof. Sri Adiningsih. We will always remember all your kindness and services.
