The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business (BEM FEB) collaborated with Hiroshima University of Economics (HUE) to welcome the 2023 Indonesia International Contribution Project (IICP). This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth, and number 17, Partnerships for the Goals. Giyas Tariq, the IICP HUE 2023 Public Relations Coordinator, explained that IICP-HUE (the IICP team from Japan) regularly visits Indonesia twice a year. IICP-UGM divided and named the arrival of IIP-HUE into two, namely IICP Summer (February) and IICP Spring (September).
The IICP Spring 2023 series took place from 1-11 September 2023 and was attended by 17 HUE students and 2 HUE senseis. The activities taking place during IICP Spring 2023 have previously been discussed by IICP-HUE and IICP-UGM, and the series of events from 1-11 September 2023 is an agreement between IICP-HUE and IICP-UGM, based on the objectives of IICP activities. “Even though several things hinder its implementation, IICP-HUE can still run well. Hopefully, HUE and UGM can get and feel the benefits of IICP Spring 2023,” said Giyas.
The IICP Spring 2023 series contains several activities. The IICP Spring 2023 Opening activity took place on September 1, 2023. On September 2, a product purchasing activity by IICP-HUE and a weaving workshop were held in Sumberarum Village.
