The entire series of reunion activities was held at FEB UGM. Alumni who were spread across various cities and came from places far from FEB UGM, such as Kalimantan, were present and took the time to meet old colleagues and let go of nostalgia in every corner of the campus that had become their life journey. Starting the activity, the alumni were invited to tour the Mini Campus Tour session to various places in FEB, namely the Learning Center Building, lecture halls and lecturer rooms. The alumni also participated in a game session in front of the UGM Hall Building. Not to forget, the alumni immortalized the moment by taking photos together.
The opening session began with a prayer and continued with singing the Gadjah Mada Hymn and Mars Economics. Akhmad Akbar Susamto, representing the chairman of the committee, delivered a speech and thanked the entire committee who had worked together to make this reunion event possible. In the next session, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs FEB UGM, opened the event and delivered remarks on behalf of Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA, Dean of FEB UGM, who could not attend. He also conveyed the latest information about FEB UGM, such as the number of academics, newly appointed professors, and lecturers who have passed away, as well as the process of FEB UGM reaccrediting the second Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation in 2024.
The next session was the presentation of mementoes from the alumni to three FEB lecturers, namely Drs. Ahmad Jamli, M.A. (Development Economics), Prof. Dr. Basu Swastha Dharmmesta, M.B.A. (Management), and Taufikur Rahman, S.E., M.B.A., Ak., CA (Accounting). The reunion activities became lively with musical entertainment and door prize distribution. The committee also displayed the video In Memoriam FE '98 to commemorate the beautiful lecture period. The following no less attractive session was Classic Stories for Each Major and Roasting Time. Alumni representative from each department went up to the stage and told a story about a funny story in their department during college back then. Kunto Wibisono, one of the alumni who attended, said that the class of '98 still had an active WhatsApp group until they finally managed to organize this reunion event. “Honestly, the impression is extraordinary. (I) didn't expect it to be this lively. (I) felt satisfied (traveling) five hours from Jepara to come here, it paid off, sis," said Kunto when interviewed.
