Open Campus 2023

Monday (25/09), the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held an Open Campus event for high school students. This event allowed them to gather further information about FEB UGM, including curriculum, learning methods, facilities, and infrastructure. The event was divided into two categories: a briefing session and a campus tour.

The briefing session took place in the Auditorium on the 8th floor of the FEB UGM Learning Center building. Agus Ridwan, S.P., M.M., the Head of the FEB UGM Administration Office, delivered a welcoming speech. Subsequently, Dea Yustisia, S.E., MSc., a lecturer in the Department of Economics at FEB UGM, provided information about the faculty during the briefing. This information covered the academic programs, facilities, and admission pathways this particular faculty offers.

The event continued with a presentation by a representative student from FEB UGM, Yohana Maurenneta (Accounting 2020). Mauren, as she is commonly known, shared her experiences during her academic journey, including her involvement in student organizations and how she achieved the title of Faculty-level Outstanding Student 2. Mauren also offered tips and tricks for navigating the challenges of university life.

After carefully listening to the briefings and presentations, the Open Campus participants were invited to explore the intricacies of FEB UGM. They embarked on a campus tour, looking at the faculty’s surroundings, from Sapta Akasa to the Lobby. This experience added an element of excitement to the day’s activities.

The Open Campus event is one of FEB UGM’s initiatives to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The specific SDG point aimed for is point 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Through this event, FEB UGM encourages participants to dare to dream as they pursue higher education to achieve their aspirations.
