Personal Branding

Friday (01/12), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), collaborated with Emina to hold a Bestie Right Back event with the theme “Shaping Your Personal and Professional Life Through Beauty”. This event was open to all UGM students and was held in the Auditorium of the Learning Center Building, 8th floor of FEB UGM. Emina conducted a webinar and make-up tutorials for selected participants on this occasion. This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals No. 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals).

The event began with a presentation by the resource person, Meisya Sallwa, a public speaker and content creator. Meisya explained the definition of personal branding that Generation Z should know. According to her, personal branding is the perception we form of ourselves and what we can offer professionally now and in the future. Personal branding is essential, especially for students. Meisya emphasized that the word ‘personal’ in personal branding does not always mean achievements. That word can also refer to activities we enjoy, such as volunteering.

Sheila Ichshana, Market Development PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, filled the event in the next session. This 2015-2019 FEB UGM Management Study Program alumni shared her story while working in the beauty industry. Working in the field of Market Development, Emina makes her responsible for various activation events, one of which is coming to campus. The work allowed Sheila to meet many inspirational figures in the country, including Dr. Aiman, a TikTok influencer who often discusses health issues. The event continued with a question and answer session, which the participants enthusiastically attended.
