Tasyakuran AACSB dan LAMEMBA

The year 2024 is a special year for FEB UGM. This year, FEB UGM obtained accreditation from the prestigious international business school accrediting body, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), for the third time. Previously, the first accreditation was achieved in 2014, followed by the second in 2019.

This AACSB reaccreditation complements the recognition of the quality of education at FEB UGM. In 2024, twelve study programs (prodi) at FEB UGM received the prestigious “Unggul” accreditation status from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (LAMEMBA) for the first time. The ‘Unggul’ accreditation is a testament to these programs’ high quality and excellence. Previously, FEB UGM’s accreditation was obtained from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) in recognition of the international AACSB accreditation.

UGM expresses its appreciation for FEB’s achievements. The Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Finance, Prof. Supriyadi, M.Sc., Ph.D., CMA, CA, Ak, representing the Rector of UGM, stated that the accomplishments of FEB UGM are very proud achievements, not only for FEB UGM but also for the UGM institution. “The achievements of FEB UGM are extraordinary and a source of pride for both FEB and UGM. This achievement can serve as an example for other units within the university to follow what FEB UGM has done, becoming a trendsetter in maintaining and improving the quality of education at UGM,” he explained on Friday (5/7) during the National and International Accreditation Thanksgiving event at the FEB UGM Learning Center Building.

Supriyadi expressed his gratitude for the results achieved and thanked the entire FEB UGM family for their hard work. He hopes that FEB UGM can maintain these achievements and continue to make continuous improvements in the future. “The hope is to carry out continuous improvement to maintain the quality of education,” he said.

Previously, the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA, stated that the achievement of the “Unggul” accreditation from LAMEMBA for 12 study programs and the international AACSB accreditation is the result of hard work and support from the entire UGM family, including lecturers, students, professional staff, alumni, and partners. “Thank you for the support of the entire FEB UGM family and the support from the Rector and the team at the UGM Central Office. We express our gratitude for the support and contributions of all parties for this achievement,” he explained.

Didi mentioned that the success of the international AACSB reaccreditation and the “Unggul” accreditation from LAMEMBA provides an opportunity for FEB UGM to enhance its contributions to the Indonesian nation and the world. Additionally, FEB UGM is firmly committed to providing world-class higher education services to all Indonesians from various economic backgrounds. FEB UGM shows the same commitment to directing all research and publications to impact the broader community.
