307 FEB UGM Graduate Students Encouraged to Become Lifelong Learners

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has graduated 307 master’s and doctoral students in the Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for the First Period of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. These FEB UGM graduates had previously participated in the university-wide graduation ceremony alongside students from various faculties on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean of Finance, Assets, and Human Resources at FEB UGM, expressed his hope that all graduates would use their knowledge to contribute to the nation’s development and society.

“We hope that the knowledge gained will be useful and contribute positively to society,” he stated on Wednesday (10/23) during the graduation ceremony for the Master of Development Economics Program at U.G.M.’s M.E.P. Campus.

Suyanto further emphasized that the graduates are expected to become lifelong learners. He noted that the world and knowledge are constantly evolving.

“Even though you have earned a master’s degree, we hope that you will continue learning because the world and environment keep changing, and knowledge keeps developing. Graduates are expected to keep growing and advancing through continuous learning,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni at FEB UGM during the graduation ceremony for the Master of Science and Doctoral Programs, encouraged the graduates to uphold ethics and integrity in their careers. Additionally, he hoped that the graduates would apply the knowledge and best practices they developed during their studies, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership, to support their careers.

In this period’s graduation ceremony, FEB UGM successfully graduated 307 students, comprising five graduates from the Master of Science in Accounting, 28 from the Master of Accounting, 11 from the Master of Science in Economics, four from the Master of Science in Management, 28 from the Master of Development Economics, and 97 from the Master of Management at the Yogyakarta Campus. Moreover, 130 graduates were from the Master of Management at the Jakarta Campus, three from the Doctoral Program in Management, and one from the Doctoral Program in Accounting.

The top graduate in this period was Birger Kydland from the Master of Management Program, with a Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.97, achieved in 1 year, 4 months, and 2 days at 25 years, 1 month, and 26 days. Syafika Dhea Taqiya Ramadhani was the youngest graduate of the Master of Science in Management Program, aged 23 years, 8 months, and 19 days. The fastest graduate was Stephanus Bimo Dwi Prasetyo, who completed the Master of Management program in 1 year, 2 months, and 10 days. The fastest female graduate was Tafia Alifianty Dinita Putri from the Master of Management program, finishing in 1 year, 1 month, and 6 days.
