Farewell, Prof. Dr. H. Iswardono Sardjono Permono, M.A

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) has again lost one of its best teachers. The entire FEB UGM family is saddened by the passing of Prof. Dr. H. Iswardono Sardjono Permono, M. A., a Retired Professor of the Department of Economics, on Saturday (26/11/22). He passed away around 14.15 WIB at the age of 70 years. The funeral home is located at Jl. Weling CT VIII/No. 107 RT. 01, R.W. 01 Karanggayam, Depok, Sleman. Then, his body was buried at UGM Sawit Sari Cemetery, Yogyakarta, at 10.00 WIB.

Prof. Dr. H. Iswardono Sardjono Permono, M.A., was born on September 14, 1952 and took the Bachelor of Economics Program at FEB UGM in 1973-1977. Then, in 1979 he continued his Masters degree in economics at the University of Philippines, Philippines, and graduated in 1981. Furthermore, he took his doctoral degree in economics at FEB UGM in 2000-2004. He began as a teaching staff at FEB UGM in March 1978 and ended his career as a retired teacher in October 2017.

During his career at FEB UGM, Prof. Iswardono has served as Assistant Dean III for the period 1988-1991. Prof. Iswardono was also awarded the 25 Years of Loyalty Award from UGM in 2005 and the Medal of Honor Karya Satya XXX from the President in 2011. Apart from that, he gave countless contributions to FEB UGM that were so full of benefits and set an example for all of us.

Farewell, Prof. Dr. H. Iswardono Sardjono Permono, M.A. We will always remember your merits and services. May the Almarhum died husnul khatimah and be given the best place in the sight of Allah SWT. May the entire family he left behind be given strength and fortitude. Amen YRA.
