The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada was established in 1955, as a result of the reorganization of the university's Faculty of Law, Economics, Social Studies and Politics. Currently, the Faculty has about 5,500 students and 200 lecturers and faculty members. The Faculty offers a range of subject areas for prospective students, at undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctorate levels, such as:

The above programs are offered by three departments: Economics, Management and Accounting. Each department's strength comes from its highly competent professors almost all of whom hold doctoral degrees from reputable universities overseas. All of the programs are accredited and ranked 'A' by the Board of National Accreditation.
