The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), has once again awarded scholarships to its students. The scholarships, funded by the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Kafegama), reflect FEB UGM’s commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable access to education.
A total of 31 students received scholarships, with the total amount of assistance reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah. The scholarship award ceremony was held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Multimedia Room of FEB UGM.
Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, stated that the faculty continues to support students’ academic continuity and ensure that no student is forced to discontinue their studies due to financial constraints. One of the initiatives undertaken to achieve this goal is the scholarship program made possible through the faculty’s initiative and the support of Kafegama.
“FEB UGM strives to ensure that no student has to discontinue their studies solely because of financial difficulties,” he emphasized.
The realization of this scholarship program is the result of strong collaboration between FEB UGM and Kafegama. Its implementation was supported by the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU) of FEB UGM and the Student Welfare Division (Adkesma) of the FEB UGM Student Executive Board (BEM FEB UGM), which coordinated the distribution of funds and ensured that the selection process was conducted objectively and targeted those most in need. This collaboration serves as the foundation for a program that delivers tangible benefits to students.
The scholarship program is more than just financial assistance. It creates meaningful improvements in the academic and personal well-being of its recipients. Scholarship recipients are able to focus more fully on their studies without the burden of educational expenses. In addition, they gain greater opportunities for personal development, increased academic motivation, and stronger assurance of completing their education.
