At the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) successfully graduated 374 Postgraduate Program graduates for period I of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. This event was held offline on Wednesday (25/10) and Thursday (26/10) at Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP), Gadjah Mada University. The graduates and female graduates felt a lot of emotion and happiness over their success in completing their studies at Gadjah Mada University.
The ceremony began at 09:00 WIB, accompanied by gamelan chants, the playing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” and the UGM Mars. The ceremony continued with an opening by the Rector of UGM, Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D. The UGM Chancellor hopes that postgraduate graduates will commit to science and technology, as well as uphold the UGM alma mater and prioritize awareness about the welfare of Indonesian society in their professional duties. This graduation ceremony also aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 4: Quality Education.
Specifically, the FEB UGM postgraduate program graduated: Master of Accounting (M.Acc) with a total of 42 graduates, Master of Development Economics (M.Ec.Dev) with a total of 47 graduates, Master of Management (M.B.A) Yogyakarta with 110 graduates, MM Jakarta with a total of 143 graduates, Master Science (M.Sc) with 23 graduates, and the Doctoral Program (Dr.) with 9 graduates. At this period’s graduation ceremony, the highest GPA was achieved by Yustiar Rizawan from the Jakarta MBA program, with a GPA of 3.95. Meanwhile, the fastest graduates were Muhammad Farabi, M.Ec.Dev and Meilisa Ester Br Sembiring, M.Ec.Dev from the MEP study program with a study period of 1 year 5 months, and 6 days.
