The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), is proud again because on Monday (3/12), one of its students won Top 2 Finalist in Business Plan in the 2023 Economic Development Competition (EDC). The Pairgrowth team consists of Ali Alexander (Management 2021) and Elsa Firlyani (Management and Property Appraisal SV 2021), who won this business plan competition after presenting a game based on Sharia financial education.

Economic Development Competition (EDC) 2023 is organized by the Student Association of the Department of Development Economics (HIMEPTA), Faculty of Economics and Business, Unversitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (FEB UNTIRTA). EDC 2023 has the theme "Exploring Student Potential to Develop Young Entrepreneurs to Improve the Indonesian Economy". This theme was promoted by the committee to turn students into young entrepreneurs with an entrepreneurial spirit and high productivity to create creative and innovative businesses that improve the Indonesian economy. Pairgrowth team won this competition by presenting a game based on Sharia financial education with a monopoly concept that aims to simplify and gamify financial learning. The game that Pairgrowth is planning is to boost Sharia's education and literacy in Indonesia.

Ali said that this achievement in this competition was proof of Ali's and the team's innovative spirit. Ali hopes that in his next journey, he can make a continuous positive contribution to financial education. "For example, when the presentation is given 40 minutes, usually we pitch for 15 minutes, so what's the matter there? How come there are so many? It turns out we can be fast and maximize the time, so the jury is also very critical," said Ali. We congratulate the PairGrowth Team for their achievements; may they always be proud and inspiring.
