The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM students have once again achieved remarkable success at the Gadjah Mada University Sports and Arts Week 2024 (PORSENIGAMA). This time, success came in the tennis category, with the team winning three medals: one gold medal and two bronze medals in three competition categories.

The gold medal was won in the women’s doubles category by Ina Winata Kusuma Hasibuan (Economics 2022) and Faizah Maulina Anjani (Economics 2022). Bronze medals were won by Ina Winata Kusuma Hasibuan (Economics 2022) in the women’s singles and Fadian Muqtadir Razzan (Management-IUP 2021) and Muthia Farah Kandia (Management-IUP 2021) in the mixed doubles.

Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FEB UGM, expressed his pride in the achievements of the FEB UGM tennis team at Porsenigama 2024. He emphasized that this success proves that FEB UGM students excel in academics, sports, and the arts.

“FEB UGM congratulates and is proud of our students who won 1st place in Women’s Doubles Tennis, 3rd place in Women’s Singles Tennis, and 3rd place in Mixed Doubles Tennis at PORSENIGAMA 2024. This achievement shows that FEB students have exceptional talent in academics, sports, and the arts,” he said on Thursday (21/11/2024).

Ina Winata Kusuma Hasibuan admitted she was surprised to win two medals at this year’s Porsenigama. She said she was delighted with her performance, especially as she had failed to succeed similarly in the previous year’s competition.

“Last year, I failed, and my motivation for this competition was to make up for that failure. Finally, all my hard work paid off this year, and I won two medals for FEB,” she said enthusiastically.
