The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) and the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business of Raden Fatah State Islamic University (www.febi.radenfatah.ac.id) in Palembang have agreed to collaborate in education. This collaboration was formalized by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement by the Vice Dean of FEB UGM for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Raden Fatah for Student Affairs, Collaboration and Alumni, Nilawati, S.Ag., M.Hum. on Wednesday, September 28, 2024 at the Kertanegara Room of FEB UGM.

The agreed collaboration between the two parties will provide opportunities for outstanding graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Raden Fatah to pursue further studies in the Master’s Program in Accounting at FEB UGM. Nilawati hopes that this collaboration with FEB UGM will support the development of education and human resources at the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Raden Fatah. She also hopes that future collaborations will cover broader aspects.

“We hope to collaborate in the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus Program (MBKM) and support the internationalization process of our campus,” she said on Wednesday, August 28, at the Kertanegara Room of FEB UGM.

Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean of FEB UGM for Research, Community Service, Collaboration and Alumni, welcomed the collaboration. He hoped that the collaboration would be continued soon to benefit both parties.

On the same occasion, FEB UGM also received visits from the Faculty of Economics and Business of Udayana University (www.unud.ac.id) and the Faculty of Economics of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (www.fe.ustjogja.ac.id). The purpose of the visits from Udayana University and Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University was to assess the formulation of the Faculty’s strategic plans and the accreditation process at the national and international levels.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suprapti, S.E., M.Si., explained that the visit to FEB UGM was part of their benchmarking efforts regarding the formulation of strategic plans and quality assurance for the Faculty.

“We want to benchmark and follow in the footsteps of FEB UGM, which is nationally accredited as ‘Excellent’ and internationally accredited by AACSB,” she explained.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, Dr. Suyanto, SE., M.Si., mentioned that UST’s Management and Accounting programs have received “Excellent” accreditation. However, the MM program has yet to achieve ‘Excellent’ accreditation.
