The Master’s and Doctoral Programs (MD) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held an offline celebration of their 45th anniversary in the lobby of the MD Building on Monday (29/09).
Prof. Dr. Mamduh Mahmadah Hanafi, Head of the Management Study Program, M.B.A., highlighted the various achievements of the MD programs. To date, doctoral students have published 39 articles in internationally recognized Scopus-indexed journals and 43 articles in nationally indexed Sinta journals. Meanwhile, master’s students have published 18 international articles and 25 national articles.
Moreover, the master’s program has established dual-degree collaborations with seven international universities, including the University of Glasgow in the UK. For the doctoral program, MD is still pursuing similar collaborations, as the dual-degree process is more complex at this level.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Akt. Expressed his appreciation for these achievements. He hopes that FEB UGM will continue to maintain its international accreditations and expand global partnerships, enabling more international students and faculty to study at UGM. “We hope these achievements serve as new motivation to continue improving ourselves in the future,” he said.
The event concluded with a tumpeng-cutting ceremony, symbolizing a fresh start and a prayer for future blessings. The tumpeng was cut by Prof. Didi Achjari and handed over to Fu’ad Rakhman, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., CA, Head of the Master of Science in Accounting Program.
Through this celebration, it is hoped that the spirit of togetherness will be further strengthened, enhancing educational capacity not only for students but also for the broader benefit of society. This aligns with FEB UGM’s mission to develop future leaders in economics and business who are committed to making a sustainable impact.
