The 1995 cohort of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (KAFEGAMA 1995), has once again extended its support for student learning by donating 18 laptops to FEB UGM. The laptops are loaned to students who need them.
Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni Affairs of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude and appreciation to KAFEGAMA 1995 for their continued support in helping FEB UGM students pursue their studies more smoothly. He also hoped that this program would continue in the future.
“We hope these laptops will help students become more productive,” he said on Thursday (October 30, 2025), at the Alumni Corner Room, FEB UGM.
Meanwhile, UGM Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, Dr. Arie Sujito, S.Sos., M.Si., also appreciated this initiative. He emphasized the importance of sustainable collaboration between the university, faculty, and alums.
“Alumni initiatives like this from KAFEGAMA 1995 are truly valuable, as they demonstrate care and solidarity amid challenging national conditions,” he stated.
KAFEGAMA 1995 representative, Dina Faoziah, Ph.D., recalled her experience as a student at FEB UGM, noting that having a personal computer at that time was considered a luxury. Therefore, she encouraged students to make good use of the available facilities to support their learning process at FEB UGM.
“Back then, owning a computer was a luxury for us. I hope today’s students can make the most of the convenience they have to learn and grow,” she shared.
As of now, 18 out of the 20 laptops have been loaned to student beneficiaries, while two units are kept as reserves for future requests.
One of the recipients, Muhammad Oriza Aqil Hamidjasi (Management, 2023), expressed his gratitude for the support.
“Previously, I had difficulties with the equipment needed for my studies. I’m truly grateful that the alumni and faculty have been able to provide this support,” he said.
Another beneficiary, Abdullah Mustaqqoful Fikri (Economics, 2025), hoped that the program would continue to support more students.
“I hope this assistance will continue and reach all students who need it,” he remarked.
